Muhterem Amerikalılar,
Türk milletiyle Amerikan milletleri ve karşılıklı olduğuna eminbulunduğum muhabbet ve samimiyetin tabii menşei hakkında birkaç sözsöylemek isterim.
Türk milleti zaten demokrattır. Eğer bu hakikat şimdiye kadar medenibeşeriyet tarafından tamamıyla anlaşılmamış bulunuyorsa, bununsebeplerini muhterem sefirimiz Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun sondevirlerini işaret ederek çok güzel ifade ettiler. Diğer taraftanAmerikan Milletinin kendini hissettiği dakikada istinad ettiği (….)demokrasidir
Amerikalılar bu mevhibe ile mümtaz bir millet olarak beşeriyetdünyasında arzı mevcudiyet eyledi. Büyük bir millet birliği kurdu. İştebu noktadandır ki Türk milleti Amerika milleti hakkında derin vekuvvetli bir muhabbet hisseder. Ümit ederim ki bu müşahede iki milletarasındaki mevcut olan muhabbeti kökleştirecektir. Yalnız bu kadarlakalmayacak, belki tüm beşeriyeti birbirini sevmeye ve bu müştereksevgiye mani olan mazi hurafelerini silmeye, dünyayı sulh ve huzuraltına sokmaya medar olacaktır.

Temsil etmekle mubayi olduğum Türk milletinin, Yeni TürkiyeCumhuriyeti’nin insani gayesi işte bundan ibarettir. Bu yüksek gayedezaten çok yükselmiş bulunan Amerika milletinin, Türk milleti ileberaber olduğundan şüphem yoktur.”

For those who have asked this the Translation of the Speech
I would like to mentıon a few words about the natural origin of theundeniable sincere relationship between the people of Turkey and thoseof the United States of America.
The Turks are already a Democratic Nation . İf this true fact hasnot been understood by today’s civilised world I must direct attentionto the remarkable comments made by our ambassador regarding the lastdays of the Ottoman empire. On the other hand the American people havealways relied and depended on democrasy to identify them as a nationsince their inception . İt has been through this blessing that theyhave been placed amongst today’s civilised world as a new nation(country).
This has given them acceptance as a new nation . Thus the Turkishpeople feel a strong sentiment of love and understanding towards theAmerican people . I do hope that the observation of this fact willencourage further dialog and warm relations between the two nations;but this will not be all!
I am sure that this will also allow the rest of the civilised worldto have more good will towards one another and ERASE all past negativeFABLES and experiences;thus leading the world towards a more peacefuland lawful existence.
Dear Americans as a proud representative of the Turkish nation I giveyou this as a goal and sole purpose of the new Turkish people. I haveno doubt that the American nation who has already reached this ultimategoal shall understand and join the new Turkish nation.
